Artcoustic awards Cyberhomes Installation of the month for July 2023
A big thank you to Artcoustic for honouring us again with installation of the month.
Cyberhomes focus has always been attention to detail. For this project, the client was specifically looking for a stealth cinema with all speakers hidden behind acoustic fabric and the projector in the wall at the back of the room with two tiers of big comfy sofas.
Our in-house fabrication team constructed a two-tier seating arrangement capable of accommodating six people. The staircase was cleverly redesigned so you could step down to the front row of seats and up to the rear seating. Pipework for the relocated boiler was integrated into the new joinery.
All this allowed us to achieve a 3.5 m wide screen with motorised side masking to seamlessly change aspect ratio from 2.4:1 to 16:9 depending on the content being viewed. The screen is acoustically transparent allowing the left, centre and right Artcoustic speakers and the two Artcoustic Spitfire subwoofers to be perfectly located behind the screen. A bespoke framework was designed and built to house the speakers and screen, lined with acoustic panels for a solution that was both resonant-free and aesthetically pleasing.
