This stunning modern home in Henley-on-Thames was designed with the future in mind. Working closely with Hayward Smart Architects, Cyberhomes integrated a number of automation and entertainment systems plus provided the cabling infrastructure to allow additional systems to be added in the future.
The brief from the client was to integrate the technology bit ensure as little of it as possible was visible. A dedicated rack room houses the majority of the AV and control equipment; with just TV screens visible in the rooms. Amina ‘plaster-over’ speakers are used in the main living areas which provide sound yet are completely hidden within the room decor. In other rooms, such as the bedrooms, discrete in-ceiling speakers are used.
A Control4 system allows a range of audio and video sources to be distributed to the TVs and speakers throughout the home, controlled from the master touch screen in the kitchen, handheld remotes in most rooms, or apps running on the owners’s smartphones and iPads. A video gate entry system allows visitors to be seen and spoken to before access is granted; and integration with the intruder alarm system ensures that perimeter security is maintained as access is provided.
“Cyberhomes provided practical advice about what was possible within the budget for the overall build. We now have exactly what we wanted from the technology in our home, and an infrastructure we can build on. I would absolutely recommend Cyberhomes.”
